Delete your cAPPtain account

What gets deleted

When you confirm deletion, we permanently remove:

• Your profile (name, email, password hash, avatar)
• Trips you own, along with every message, photo, document, and expense inside them
• Your memberships in trips owned by others — your messages and expense entries there are anonymized to "cAPPtain user"
• Push-notification tokens for your devices
• Any pending password-reset tokens

Not deleted here: active Stripe subscriptions. If you have one, cancel it from your payment receipt email — otherwise your card will be auto-renewed on the next billing cycle.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app RECOMMENDED

Open cAPPtain → Profile → Delete account. Instant, requires your password, and lets you promote another admin on shared trips before the delete runs.

Option 2 — Email confirmation

Lost your password or no longer have the app? Enter the email you used to sign up and we'll email you a one-time confirmation link (valid for 1 hour).

Confirm permanent deletion

You arrived from a confirmation email. Clicking the button below will permanently delete your cAPPtain account and all associated data as described above. This action cannot be undone.
