Age Suitability
How cAPPtain keeps group travel planning safe
Age rating
cAPPtain is rated 13+ on the App Store. The app is designed for teens and adults planning group travel together.
How social features work
Chat (text, voice and photo messages) and all shared content exist only inside invite-only trip groups.
- There is no public feed.
- There is no discovery of strangers and no public profiles.
- People who have not been invited to a trip have no way to contact a user.
Invite safety
Members join a trip through its invite link and land as Viewers by default. Trip admins decide who gets promoted to an editing role, and they can remove members at any time.
Trip guests & shared links
A trip can be shared through a read-only guest link that only trip admins can create, and that they can revoke at any time. Guest links show the trip plan but no personal contact details: no email addresses and no user identifiers.
A note for parents and guardians
cAPPtain is for planning real-world travel with groups you already know, such as family and friends. An optional annual subscription exists, but no in-app purchases are made within the iOS app.
Account & data control
Users can delete their account and all associated data at any time, either in the app (Profile → Delete my account) or through our public account deletion page.
